This sweater is really fun. I was concerned about how shiny the metallic thread was from other reviewers but took a chance because I tend to like shiny things anyways. The metallic-ness is not overwhelming, its perfect. In low light you might not even notice.

Also the jacket fits perfectly. I am a Boden 6, and this jacket fit like a glove. It made me feel very mod and polished.

Despite all this, i ended up returning it, only because I felt like it was great for special occasions, but i was hoping to wear it to work causually, and my ladies at work (fellow boden lovers) decided it was a little too formal. For the price, I wanted something I could wear more often.

If you're on the fence, I would get this. It is worth it.

I had been looking for a navy blue knitted coat or sweater cardigan and really thought I had found THE ONE. I read the reviews and the product description and figured I could overlook a little bling. I was sooo disappointed when I received the coat. There is just way too much metallic yarn. If the metallic yarn was in a matching navy blue, then it might not be so noticeable. I wish Boden would make this in a solid navy blue. Sadly, this is going back.

I first ordered it in a size 10 (my usual size) but this sweater was huge...so I returned for a size smaller. The smaller size is about 3 inches too large in the ribcage area, but since I will be layering, I kept the replacement size. It's actually very warm, and so comfortable. The only downside is that I find random snags...and I'm not even sure how the snags are occuring? At any rate...I absolutely LOVE this sweater coat and have rec'd compliments every time I've worn it out. When Boden offers other colors...I'll be ordering again!

Something is wrong with the front of this otherwise nice coat. The part below the buttons curls up and does not stay right. It just looks bad. I returned mine.

Nice extra fall layer for Minneapolis. I wanted something warmish and stylish to wear over dresses and skirts when I commute to work. The sparkly yarn is pretty but a little too much for casual use. My boss called it "elegant." Works well indoors and out, but don't count on it for wind protection.

Like everything I have from Boden, it's well made.

I was hoping so badly for a nicely fitted and yet not too tight knit jacket to wear over knee-length or above-knee dresses in the winter, and this unfortunately is not it. First of all, as other reviewers have commented, the metal thread is a little too overwhelming. The dealbreaker for me was, however, the odd drape in the front. The front placket billowed a little below the lowest button, and then flapped down at the end. Extremely unflattering, and I've sent it back.

I bought this coat 2 months ago and went to wear it last weekend. The knitted outer layer has stretched and sagged down over the lining. The outer and inner layers are bound at the hem so it looks terrible and is unwearable.

The elusive navy coat is no more with this one. So nice to have a spot on navy color that is uniquely beautiful. I will wear this one over and over with any style I want. I did go up a size so I could wear my sweater under it with plenty of room. It does not look bulky but just right..gorgeous navy coat!! Love it!!

I liked this coat so much I bought it a second time. I had left the original in a cab (some lucky person is wearing it now), and knew I was going to regret not replacing it. It has completed many of my fall outfits, travels well and is very comfortable.

I love the style, details....just not sparkles. It is much more sparkly than the photo, in my opinion. Lets just say Johnathan from 'The Rats of Nimh' would love it...
Bottom line: tres chic, and tres, tres sparkly!
