This is a sturdy little "overcoat", a practical piece, but pricey for something not classy in fit. Good for a quick dash outdoors in brisk weather and good over a thicker sweater too. I would change out the buttons to something a little more stylish as the plastic detracts from the the quality of the fabric.
I got the dune check, the lining is a plain tan. True to what I've found in the past on Boden, I fall between their listed size 2 and 4, but end up purchasing the size 6. It's a little big in fit, but for some reason the shoulders in size 4 are always too snug for a good fit. It's the same with this item. The trench did not last too well in it's first downpour though. Under the umbrella, the fabric still took on quite a bit of water at the hem and above, but at least kept me somewhat drier than if I'd gone without a coat.

I'm 6'2" and full-figured.
This jacket is long with room, and a belt to give it shape.

I was looking for a jacket or trench, with a belt, that would cover my rear in a stylishly subtle pattern (read: needed an alternative to the standard black coat). The photos above don't do the pattern justice, it looks way better in person (as adorable as on the model)! Noticable pattern, but not TOO memorable.
Living in Minneapolis, where it could snow Monday and be 75F and sunny on Wednesday, this jacket is a great transition piece. It is well made, and lined. The lining in the sleeves is slippery enough to get in and out in dress shirts, no-fuss.
The only thing I'd change would be a longer belt that you could tie instead of buckle.

I like this jacket a lot. Fits well, nice color, nice style. My only complaint is that the lining material tends to stick to the material of my pants and the bottom of the jacket will bunch up. I wish the lining material was a different material- I've never had this problem with a jacket before (from other vendors).

Perfect trench and I got it on sale! Fits true to size, is made of a durable fabric and I expect to get many years of wear out of this coat.

The fit on me looked and felt boxy, and the fabric was too stiff. There wasn't the kind of casual, stylish drape that the photograph indicated. Unfortunately, this was a return. On the pro side- it was very well made.

Beautiful trench coat! My regular size 4P fit perfectly. I was able to pick it up on the 20% off sale which is wonderful because I wouldn't have paid full price for it. Ofcourse, what does make the coat is the typical boden details.. from the colored stiching around the buttons to the floral pattern on the inside.

This is a classic trench, with some special details, like the grosgrain ribbon trim and retro-print lining. It's a nice weight - perfect with a light sweater under it for spring and fall. I ordered it first in size 4, but it was swimming on me and bunched up when I belted it. So, I returned it for a size 2, which is a little snug but I kept it because it was so cute. I just wish that the sizing was consistent!

This trench is the perfect wait for a rainy day in Paris! Looks great with jeans, or paired with heels and a dress....

This coat is perfect for the cool morning weather in the spring. It is lightweight and and stylish. Great for wearing to working in the morning and putting in my bag on the way home in the afternoon. Kept my suit from getting wet and is very well made!

Fabulous coat! Great fit, perfect length, just the right amount of warmth for a spring day. My regular Boden size has just the right amount of space for me to wear a sweater under this coat, but it's not so big that a blouse makes it baggy. Absolutely agree with other reviews, the belt is too short! I can buckle it, but in no way able to tie it into anything besides a lumpy mess. Belt needs another 6-8 inches than this would be the perfect three season coat.
