This is such a great coat. I thought the quality was great, the overall fit was great. I unfortunately ordered the wrong size and by the time I came back to reorder there were none in the size I needed left. While I could fit in the size I received (8), I felt a size bigger would be best to wear over sweaters. Please offer this coat again next year, because I will order it as soon as I see it!!!

Albuquerque is an outdoorsy city--but you can't just walk around in a fleece. This coat is perfect for wearing to the office, and then catching a quick hike on the way home.

It's also perfect for the rain monsoons that come around here. Wonderful coat.

The temp here is pretty moderate (rarely below 40F), and I wear this coat almost daily. Great for walking dog, running errands, carrying kids around. I should add that you can cinch the waist with internal drawstrings. From the picture, it looks a little frumpy, but you can give it a waistline if you want. It hits me at mid-thigh, so I can wear it with leggings and not worry about showing too much.

I am more than pleased with my parka. I was not sure if I would
got the size right . I ordered an 8 but it seemed just a tad big until
I saw the little elastic "pulleys" at the waist ....a little tug & perfect fit . It
does catch lint as another customer pointed out but since we have animals
we always have a lint rollers around . Also loved the length. I looked at this a lot before buying it , when I finally did decide to get it, the blue was gone so I went with the brown but got it on sale . I like the brown very much . Perfect for my winter climate & the oversees traveling I do as well .

I love the styling of this coat and the neat detail stitching and snaps. Super warm as well. HOWEVER after one wearing it seems to be a magnet for lint. I wore black pants and the contrast with the lint on the coat was SO noticeable, I felt like a hobo and wanted to hide.
It is going back. Can't deal with this poor feature of the waxed cotton.

I love the shape and fit of this coat. It is also satisfyingly warm. The navy color is nice in that it looks a bit like a dark denim, which, with the contrast stitching and brass-tone snaps, lends a really nice rugged look to the coat. I appreciate the optional hood. The down side is that the coat's material picks up lint like crazy, and the lint shows. I have to use my de-fuzzer daily on this coat, which is a real drag. I also think this coat would benefit greatly from a double zipper, because it is quite fitted through the hip and hemline, and tends to ride up while walking (also due to the lack of slip in the fleece lining). It's an all-around sticky coat.

I waited what felt light eons to bite the bullet and buy this fabulous looking coat. I wasn't sure of the color, as it looked like a washed black online and I wasn't sure if it would be warm enough and worth the big bucks.
When it arrived, I knew immediately it was PERFECT. A jacket with some weight to keep me warm, revs up my everyday outfit in pre and post winter months. gorgeous details, warm fleece lining, detachable hood. LOVE IT. Got compliments on it immediately. Only thing missing is an inside pocket, mostly for cell. Another top quality Boden design.

I am 50 years old and this jacket makes me look 40. i plan to wear with jeans for running errands and going out. Nice and warm and will repel rain and snow. I am between a size 10 and a 12 and will keep the size 12 so i can wear a sweater underneath. nice drawstring inside the jacket if you want to since in at the waist.

I saw this coat in the Boden catalog and I absolutely loved the style, down to the smallest details. I've never paid this much for a coat before, so I scoured the internet trying to find something comparable for less. It really doesn't exist, so I splurged and bought this one. The fit is perfect for my hourglass shape (I was able to cinch in the waist with the drawcord without the hips puffing out like I've had on other coats). The outer material feels very durable and the lining is very soft. I got warm just trying it on, which is good for me because I get cold very easily. The hood is easily wearable without being too oversized. I bought it in navy, and it is a perfect navy: very dark while still distinguishable from black. If I could afford it, I'd buy the other two colors too.
