We love the geometric cut of this understated piece from the ‘less is more’ school of design. The detail is all in the texture of the fabric and the subtle, raw edge grosgrain trim on the pockets and cuffs. We couldn’t resist a signature flash of colour, so we’ve added a bright turmeric lining. The coat comes complete with a detachable belt that can be knotted at the waist.

This is a beautiful, lighter coat that is well made and well finished. The tweedy charcoal shades will go with most everything and I will enjoy wearing this piece all Spring and summer long. Gorgeous.

So happy I purchased this! Originally I hesitated because it seemed, from the website photo, that the fabric had metallic threads, which I did not want. But, happily it does not, and is a beautiful tweed (charcoal and black mix). It fits fairly true-to-size (normally a 6 or 4 in Boden bottoms and was able to take a 4 with room). As always, I must thank Boden for listing garment measurements as this really helps in choosing the correct size. The belt is loose (not attached, there are no loops) so there is the option to wear coat without it, but I always wear it belted as this is most flattering for my pear-shaped figure. Weight of coat is perfect for rainy West Coast winters.

I love the straight lines and minimalist style of the jacket. The lining is beautiful. The material, however, is definitely sweater-like. It came with a warning to watch for snagging on jewelry. I like my jackets a little loose, but this fits truly to size. One size up was too big in the back. The jacket in my true size fits closely to my body. I can't wear a thick sweater underneath it. It hugs closely to the hips and definitely accentuates that area when the buttons are closed. I've tried wearing it with the buttons open, but it doesn't fall right. The sides sort of stay open; perhaps this is why they gave the belt. But without loops, I feel like the belt is not very useful.
