This dress in black looks great on my 13-year-old who is short and not a stick figure. We loved it so much we also ordered the pink, but the color is not as shown and is more of a mauve so it does not look as good on her.

Got the dress in light pink size 13-14 for 13 yr.o. neice. Dress is actually more subdued/mauvish and not as light pink shown online. It's a great dress for 12-14yr old, it's not so kiddish but yet not so overt like some teen dresses. A modest pretty dress I'd say. I like that it's lined and the style is flexible on shape of wearer.

This is my first experience with Johnnie-b. I bought this dress for my 12 year old daughter who has out grown Mini Boden ( in her opinion). The dress is beautiful and seemed to be well made. She wore it twice. The first time it washed up beautifully on the delicate setting and line dry. The second time she wore it, when I pulled it out of the washer (on the delicate setting), the top layer of the dress had shrunk at least two inches shorter than the lining! How disappointing. My daughter is heartbroken! This is her favorite dress. Now I'm going to have to trim and re- hem the lining. Thank goodness I know how to sew. The dress and the lining are made out of two different materials and apparently they shrank differently.

I bought it for my self, a highschool girl. I was always a small at Boden, so I looked at the new sizing and saw that 11-12yrs matched up with size small. I ordered the pink in small, when I tried it on the shoulders were too small. I'm exchanging it for a large, because I might grow a little more (it was a lot too small in the shoulders a medium would have only been a little looser)and I also don't want to waste money on a dress for just one season.
Beautiful dress though, I know I'll wear it a lot, very excited to get it in correct size.

This dress is adorable and has a "vintage" feel. My middle schooler loves it, but it is a bit short. She'll wear it over tights for awhile & then probably skinny jeans after that. Love modest, stylish clothes & this fits the bill perfectly. :)
