I love these pants for my son. The waist band is soft with an adjustable cord. I bought them on the bigger side on purpose but with the adjustable cord, it's not an issue. They have roomy pockets for rocks and action figures and the material is very thick which will be good for all the spills and skidding that my son tends to do on his knees. I would definitely recommend these.

I bought an 8 for my tallish 6.5 year old, thinking they would be for next fall. Not going to happen. They are way too wide in the waist for how much I'd expect him to grow by then, and the length was perfect for right now. So they are wide and short. Bummer because the fabric and design is really nice.

Love these pants for my 5 year old. He used to only want to wear comfy pants, but these will work. They look awesome right out of the dryer. I think they run slightly small. I ordered a 7 for him, which he will be 6 in April but isn't large for his age. They were a little long, but should work another year. Makes them worth every penny. Just ordered a pair for my 2 year old on sale. The green camo is fantastic.
