My 7 year old just went through a growth spurt, and his proportions changed in the process. I was looking for pull-on elastic waisted pants that were cute and comfortable, and these fit the bill. The blue with red accents is just adorable--and so great to be able to find boy colors that aren't just navy or khaki. These are definitely a fall/winter weight pant. If I had one thing to change, the drawstring at the waist feels a hair too lightweight for such a substantial fabric.

I continue to be impressed by how well these pants hold up under harsh wear by my 9 year old. They are so cute and durable! Will definitely buy again!

These trousers are high quality. They are cool, too (I love the details of color!) But...they are held up by a drawstring! Now, we have ordered several pants and shorts with drawstrings in the past. I am not anti-drawstring, at all. But with corduroy trousers? The material would not stay cinched and they kept falling to an uncomfortable level for my skinny-anyway 6 year old. My son has trouble finding the right trousers to begin with (long enough without being giant in the waist). He's not going to want to keep retying these pants throughout the day. Though we both really wanted to keep these and wanted them to work, we just had to send them back. Perhaps these would work with fuller-waisted boys. I would love it, though, if they were reinforced with a tighter elastic at the waist, not fully relying on the drawstring. The picture here shows that there is elastic at the waist, but it was not the kind that keeps waistbands close, and it actually made the cinching more difficult. We still LOVE Boden! These just weren't right for us.

These pants were purchased for my friend's four year old son. I am sure she will love the fact that they are so easy to care for, and he will just think they look "cool". They will work well with just about any shirt in his wardrobe.

My boy likes this pant. He just turned 8 couple days ago. Also he's lis kind of slim. So his waist seems like little big on him. But not too big. And cute design and soft.

In classic Boden sytle, these cords are incredibly comfy - soft, elastic waste allowing all sorts of movement. And they are adorable - can be dressy or casual. Best of all, my boys are obsessed with the pockets that hold anything they want to stash.
