This sweater is very cute and well made, only problem was that my son wouldn't keep it on for more than a couple minutes because it was too itchy. I put a long sleeved shirt under it but he still complained of the itchiness especially around the neck. My 6 yo is not a very whiny boy and doesn't usually complain about all of the clothes I dress him in but this one was a definite no for him. So I am returning it unfortunately and cannot speak on behalf of how it held up etc. in my opinion, no sweaters for kids should ever be made with wool or anything itchy!!

This is a real wool sweater, and I know it will keep my boy warm - even when he "forgot" his jacket inside the classroom during recess. He might have an issue with "itchiness", we'll see, I am thinking of having him wear a tissue-t-shirt underneath. On the style/design - it is a very cool sweater, and the mixture between ecru/grey with navy makes it more interesting. Overall, I would recommend it.

My son got this sweater for his birthday, since I like him to have at least one wool top in his wardrobe. He hasn't worn it yet, so I can't say anything about how it washes. But it is thick, pretty soft for wool, and warm. The neck opening is quite wide - but I guess this is good since he will be wearing something under it anyway. He is a slender 7yo, and the 7-8 was on the baggy side, but wearable.
