I love the colors and styles that Boden offers on outerwear and made a special point of getting this beautiful orange jacket for my son this winter. Here we are with our first snow and he is SOAKED. As the snow fell, I could almost see through the outer layer of material and see the padding inside the jacket start to clump up. With just a little snow, he was quickly drenched and had to come inside. So this is a nice jacket for cold and dry, but certainly doesn't hold up to snowy winter play. Disappointed.

LOVE this jacket and so does my 7 year old!! He said it is his favorite jacket. Seems very warm for the DC area. I love the plaid. I think it is a great jacket and would buy it again. The only reason I didn't give this jacket 5 stars is because the zipper seems to keep getting stuck on the fabric. I think a redesign on the zipper would be great. Not that the zipper feels cheap, it feels like a quality zipper, it just seems to keep zipping over the fabric on the jacket. I would buy this coat again, despite this flaw.

I debated between ordering the navy blue or the plaid and decided on the plaid. So glad I did. This coat really stands out in a good way. My son doesn't look like every other navy or black puffy coated kid...hence easy to find at the playground.
Seems very warm and cozy. He is a slightly above average size 2 yr old and this coat fits him perfectly. Hoping the 2/3 will still fit next winter but kinda doubt it.
If you have a 3 yr old I'd order up a size.
