These shorts are perfect. I bought the blue for my 9yo. Goes perfectly with many of the Boden shirts we already have.

Initially I wasn't sure about this style because the legs look narrower - but they're a super cute fit on my 5 1/2 year old!

I bought these in Oat for my 5-year-old and we both absolutely love them! I love the long length that cover his knees, as well as the frayed hem. So cute! The first time he wore them he came home with them covered in grass stains (a bonus to the long length - they protected his knees from all that rough and tumble play!), but they washed up wonderfully and looked like new again. I know these will last for his younger brother, like all our Boden-wear!

Durable shorts for active boys!

I've ordered similar shorts for my son the past few seasons; I love that he can wear them just about anywhere and with just about anything. At 7, he's pretty tall and skinny and wears an 8 in bottoms in every other brand we buy.

Although I've generally found Boden to run big on him, I listened to other reviews that said the styles seemed to be running small this season. I ordered the 8. Out of the package, I loved the design and was excited that he would have them to wear this summer. Sadly, though, they're way too long (even for the board short look). I should have gone with my first instinct and ordered the 7.

While they won't be part of this summer's wardrobe, I'm hanging on to them for next year since I do love the shorts and the 7s are out of stock.

These shorts are adorable and stylish!

My 4 year old LOVES these shorts! He will dig through piles of laundry to find them. This is the first item of clothing that he has ever ask me to wash so that he can wear again the next day. So comfortable..I just bought a second pair and considered buying the next size up for next summer!! Please never stop making these!!!

My boys (ages 8 and 10) have lived in MiniBoden for years, and in particular, these shorts. They are a great all-around staple - and here in California, lived in nearly 10 months out of the year.

I preferred the cleaner hem to the frayed hem, more versatile somehow.

Also, the workmanship/quality of construction and materials has paled in recent years. I do not begrudge your success, Boden, but outsourcing the manufacturing is noticeable. The weight/heft of the weave, and the finishing details feel slightly cheap for the price. I won't leave just yet, but please don't sacrifice anymore.

Love the blue color. WOnderful! These shorts are comfy & also great for protecing knees in warmer weather, since they are made of thick fabric... like a thick canvas. If you want fast drying & lighter, go for techno shorts as well.
