My four year old is not a fan of shorts - he loves his cargo pants and jeans- so its always a battle getting him to wear them. These are perfect for him because they cover his knees but are still cool enough for the warm weather. The fabric is durable quality and they fall just below his knee (he is 47" tall). Great quilting design on the knee helps for when he is playing like a boy rough and tumble;)
