Have been buying these shorts for years and live the fabric and quality. They are a sturdier pair of shorts that my son can wear to school. They hold up very well and don't fade. The first pairs have been handed down and still look great. The blue plaid is very versatile and goes with navy as well as brighter blues. I only gave it 4 stars, however, because the pockets in the back are entirely too thick and curl up after the first or second washing, never to return to their original shape. No amount of starch or steam ironing will fix it. I'm not about to dry clean my kid's shorts. Don't know why they have to be so thick. Please redesign for next year, Boden.

I buy these shorts every year since by son was 2 and now he is 6. They are comfortable, last all year as we're in florida and always look good. I've never been let down by these shorts.

very disappointed with this, very dull in colour not as vibrant as in the catalogue so I ended up sending it back, bit of a washout to be honest and I never say that about boden

Great well-made shorts. Love the chambray. A bit roomy in the rise for my slender 6yo, but I cinched the heck out of them and they managed to look pretty good and will fit next year too. Price is a touch high, but OK if they're on sale.

Bought these for my 10-yr-old (growing like a weed so the 12s fit him well with a little room to grow)in the blue plaid, which is a little brighter, with oranges and bright blues, than it looks in the picture. The bright color suit him and his personality, so all is well. He's wearing them today with the platypus surfboard T from Johnny B, which he loves. He's happy and comfortable and so am I.

A nice sturdy weight, that boys can be boys in!! A bit on the larger side, so if you're in-between, I would size down :)

Awesome shorts! We have them in a few colors and they fit great and are not too heavy and bulky as some cargo shorts can be. My boys like them and pick to wear them lots.

These shorts are a great addition to my son's summer closet. We have been boden customers for years and love the quality. Boys play hard and our 7 year old is no exception. Boden clothing holds up better than any of the other brands we buy. I bought these shorts in navy check. They go with so many of his basic shirts. I have been buying size 8 in his summer clothing, but these shorts ran a bit small (he is tall and skinny). I had to go up a size. With the adjustable waist band they fit great. They do run long, but I like the look of the longer shorts. Will be buying in other colors.

I love the color & design of the shorts. It is very comfortable & Keep long time to shap. My son loves to wear everyday.
