These shorts are perfect for your little guy. My son is almost 5 and I purchased size 5. They are a tad big, but he'll be able to grow into them during the summer. He is small waisted, and these are great because of the drawstring. They are super durable and my son loves the feel and design. He now owns three pair!

I love these shorts and more importantly my son loves them. He picked design and colour himself. There is a functioning drawstring which we really needed because these shorts (like every other short) are a little wide for him. I wish Boden would offer slim sizes also.
I ordered the same pair in red and was a little surprised that the material was different. The blue shark design is made in denim. We love both materials and dedigns.

I love the great color/pattern choices Boden brings with these boards. I have two boys that I love to coordinate, and these styles do the trick. I will note that they are running slightly large, as I ended up sizing down for both my boys (2 & 4)this year.
