My son is so hard to shop for that at times I have considered learning how to use a sewing machine; I am strictly a needle and thread gal. Mercifully, MiniBoden entered our lives and everyone has been saved from my sewing muses. Everything (and I mean everything) that we buy has been a huge hit with the kids. These socks are so much better than every other kids' brand, I don't even bother getting anything else anymore. They retain their color and shape FOREVER - through many, many washings! The top elastic starts out perfectly comfortable - not too thick or too tight, and then never gets loose. And such fanciful color combinations! My kids love them. Be aware they run small - my 8 year-old with size 4.5 feet wears the biggest size (5-7.5).

Well, these are for my 2.75 year old son, so I can't speak to his reaction to them, but I love love love Boden socks for him.
The colors are great and I can always find a pair to match what he's wearing.
The patterns are super cute (stars and stripes are preferred at our house) and they are very high quality and last for as long as my kids feet fit in 'em.
Plus, with a coupon code, they are actually not much more than buying them from other famous retailers that are not half as cute.
