The fabric is beautiful and the fit is classic fit. I'm a large gal (16-18) and I'm 5'9". I ordered the 16L and it fits very nicely. Fitted, but not at all tight. I bought it for an evening wedding and the navy is perfect. A little shimmer, but not too glam. It really is a beautiful dress.

I purchased the green ava dress on sale and it is a lovely color. The quality is also great (quite a steal on sale). I will however need to alter in the hip area. I am a size 10 on top and an 8 on the bottom. I will need to a bit of tailoring to shape up the bottom. I think this dress would be a great option for pear shaped ladies.

Buying this dress was a win-win-win situation for me! It was a real steal on sale, the quality of the fabric is fantastic, and the fit is perfect (not too tight yet very flattering). I cannot speak for the navy. As other reviewers have commented, however, the green is a beautiful emerald enriched by the sheen and texture of the fabric, such that you end up essentially wearing a jewel. I will be wearing it to a friend's wedding. It's too dressy for my work but the length and cut are suitable for a professional context if you want to live it up at work a bit.

This is a beautiful dress. As others have described, the green is a deep rich emerald green. The style is classy but still casual by the cut of the piece. I am debating also ordering the navy because, even on sale, it is available in my size. I am 5'3" and the regular falls slightly below my knee which is my preference in length.

Lovely dress. I bought the navy first and then went back and bought the green. The fabric is beautiful, the detail is pretty and adds a little sparkle without being overpowering and the cut is flattering. I have fairly curvy hips and I was afraid the dress would be too snug (a problem with some Boden dresses in the past), but it fell smoothly without bunching. The green looked like a pale-medium jade color online, but in person it is actually what I would call "deep emerald" or "evergreen" - quite a bit darker than anticipated, but a really beautiful shade. Would have been a perfect holiday dress if I had purchased it earlier.

I tried to love this dress. I actually bought both colors, each in a different size. Both are beautiful fabrics, thick/sturdy material, but the dress is just not flattering on me. Sort of shapeless... Alas, both went back. Too bad b/c the sale price is great.

I love this dress. The green is a jade-like beautiful color. The material has a slight sheen and seems like it will be durable. I sent the 6 back (sometimes I'm a 6 in Boden and sometimes a 4) and am eager to receive the replacement.
