I did a lot of research as I wanted the cutest and smartest toggle coat for my 8 year old son without spending 100's of $$. This one was the smartest one for the money. This coat is beautiful. First time I ordered a "dress-up" coat. We had lots of Mini hoodies and Anoraks but nothing like this. I love the toggles and the stripes in the hood and lining. Both unique and well made. My boys look so handsome in these coats. I have the navy blue for my little guy and the grey for my older son. They love wearing them. Thank you Boden for making a dress up coat that is still casual enough for every day wear.

This is the perfect coat for a middle school child!
I need to have a coat that can multi-task-school, special occasions etc, yet be comfortable, and warm. It can be worn by a boy or girl( we got the grey), important in a large family. With Boden, I know I will get multiple years of use and several kids will wear the coat.My kids also like wearing the coat- key to smooth mornings and getting out of the house on time!They also love the striped lining, it's so soft. The quality is impeccable
The make of the size is smaller especially considering it is an overcoat and there usually are other layers underneath it.
It is also heavier because of the good quality cotton and lining -- they keep your child warm but also comes with a bit of weight on the little shoulders!
