I wanted to like this dress, but the fabric of the skirt was unattractive. It has a shiny, cheap-polyester appearance. It's too bad because the top has a nice and flattering cut and the broderie top looks reasonably well made. For the price I would have expected something better made, so it's going back.

This is a beautiful dress, it just wasn't for me. It is very elegant looking with the silk skirt, velvet at the waist, etc but I ordered four different styles and thought two of the others looked and fit better.
Having access to the actual dress measurements is a huge plus and was spot on with this dress as it has been with everything I've ordered from Boden.

Beautiful, high quality, well made dress, just wasn't for me. I have an hourglass figure and the dress fit well everywhere except the waist, where it was too big for me. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Would work well for a different body type.

This dress is very elegant and beautiful. The color is a very deep navy, almost black. The silk of the skirt has a slightly luminous effect that is very pretty, and the lace top is soft and comfortable. I am very sensitive to clothes that are itchy, so I don't wear a lot of lace because of that, but this lace is very soft. The fit is TTS and very flattering. I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a very sophisticated dress, so it is not appropriate to wear clubbing, but it is a beautiful dress that will work in any elegant setting. The lace top is very on-trend right now, and it offers a little bit of coverage to the upper arms, but you can see skin through it, so it is a bit alluring. I really love this dress.

I am 5f 5" and 123 lbs. I normally wear a size 8 Regular for Boden dresses. This dress however was ridiculously loose, especially around my torso. Other than that I was very pleased with the dress...it was beautiful. Classic and elegant! Can't wait for the size 6 to arrive.
